Phenomenological attention is increasingly directed towards different stages and phases of human life, such as childhood, old age and illness experiences. This includes studies of the relationships between generations and caring relationships. In this symposium we have brought together phenomenologists from Denmark, Latvia and Sweden who make use of the phenomenological tradition in studying key issues connected to practical knowledge in our time.
